The Burmese Army's 66th Brigade fired heavy artillery shells, killing and injuring civilians

A battalion under the command of the 66th Light Infantry Division (LID) of the war criminal racial extremist invading Myanmar Army fired the heavy weapons into Nyaung Khat Kan (Nyaung Kan) village in Myebon Township and five innocent civilians were killed including two children and a female school teacher, and eleven others were seriously injured, due to the explosion of artillery shells

The racial extremist invading Myanmar Army has constantly been carrying out deliberate artillery attacks targeting villages in Arakan on a daily basis, based on the racism and racial hatred.






At 9:49 am, on 8 September 2020, a fortified encampment at "Nay-Char" mountain of a battalion (still under investigation) under the command of the 66th LID of the war criminal racial extremist invading Myanmar Army had deliberately been firing for 15 times into Nyaung Khat Kan (Nyaung Kan) village in Myebon Township without any fighting in that area. Therefore, five innocent civilians were killed instantly and eleven others from Nyaung Khat Kan (Nyaung Kan) village were got small, medium, and severe injuries by the hit of artillery shell's pieces.

According to the information we have in hand, the five dead were two children, a female school teacher, a shrimp pond worker, and a woman. They are;

(1) U Chan Nyein Thu (shrimp pond worker), 25-year-old, father's name - U Aung Kyaw Htin, address - Pauk Tu Taung village

(2) Daw Moe Thazin (female school teacher), 29-year-old, father's name - U Chan, address - Nyaung Kan Village

(3) Maung Thura Aung (school boy - first grade) 7-year-old, father's name - U Phyu Thee Chay, address - Nyaung Kan Village

(4) Ma Thu Thu Hein (school girl - first grade), 7-year-old, father's name - U Lin Win Zaw, address - Nyaung Kan village.

The four innocent residents died on the spot due to the hit of the pieces of artillery shells.

Another, Hnin Yu Hlaing, 22-year-old, has died in Kan Htaung Gyi cottage hospital with critical wounds in her head hit by the pieces of artillery shells. The number of injured was eleven or more. The list of injured is given in the table.

In addition, On 6 September 2020, due to the fact that the racial extremist Myanmar Army near Ma-Nyin-Taung village also fired into Kyauk-Yan-Thar-Si village in Rathedaung Township, some pigs, chicken , and houses were damaged and killed.
