Statement Regarding the Fascist Terrorist Military Council's Airstrike on Mrauk-U Town

On August 25, 2025, at approximately 11:25 PM, the fascist terrorist Military Council conducted an airstrike using a jet fighter, dropping two bombs on the Daing Kyi Ward in Mrauk-U Town, Arakan. As a result of this airstrike, 12 innocent civilians from a family preparing for a donation ceremony and including 5 children from nearby residents, were killed, and 20 others were injured. Additionally, 9 residential houses were destroyed. Further reports on casualties and injuries will be provided as they become available.

The fascist terrorist Military Council deliberately carried out this airstrike at night, taking advantage of the time when people were asleep, with the clear intent to maximize harm and fatalities among innocent civilians. This attack is not an isolated incident; it is part of a broader pattern of violence. For instance, within 2025 alone:

1.  On May 14 and 15, 2025, the fascist terrorist Military Council conducted consecutive airstrikes using a jet fighter on the Rwama Ward in Kyauktaw Town, resulting in the deaths of 8 innocent civilians and injuries to a total of 14 people.

2.  On May 13, 2025, at around 10:05 AM, the fascist terrorist Military Council carried out an airstrike using a jet fighter on Tun Rawae Village (Old Village) in Rathedaung Township, leading to the deaths of 12 innocent civilians, injuries to 23 others, and the destruction of 31 residential houses.

3.  On the evening of January 18, 2025, the fascist terrorist Military Council conducted an airstrike using a jet fighter near Ram Chaung Village in Mrauk-U Township, killing 28 individuals, including children and women, from the families of Military Council prisoners of war held by the Arakan Army, and injuring 25 others.

4.  On January 8, 2025, at around 1:20 PM, the fascist terrorist Military Council carried out an airstrike using a jet fighter on Kyauk Nyi Maw Village in Ramree Township, resulting in the deaths of 26 people, injuries to 12 others, and the destruction of 398 residential houses.

Across the country, the fascist terrorist Military Council, facing military defeats, has been targeting and attacking innocent civilians in non-military locations such as schools, hospitals, clinics, markets, religious buildings, bridges, roads, displacement camps, and densely populated towns, villages, and wards. These inhumane attacks are being carried out daily, not only in the Arakan region but throughout the country, blatantly violating war crimes and international humanitarian laws.

We express our deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the people who lost their lives due to the fascist terrorist Military Council’s airstrikes. We strongly condemn the Military Council’s war crimes and crimes against humanity, which involve the mass killing of innocent Arakan civilians on a daily basis across the country. These actions will be reported to relevant international organizations, and we will continue to take appropriate and necessary actions to address these atrocities.
