Some Fascist Junta Troops Fleeing During Ongoing Battles Near Nat Yay Kan Military Operation Command, Lay Lar Mountain, Kapasa (16) Military Equipment Manufacturing Facility, and Irrawaddy Division Adjacent to Arakan Are Captured, While White-Flag Surrenders Continue to Increase
November 11, 2025
The Arakan Army (AA) continues to engage the fascist military junta’s forces with strong offensives and counter-defensive operations along the borders of Bago, Magway, and Irrawaddy Regions, adjacent to Arakan State.
Fierce clashes have been occurring daily, as junta troops—unable to withstand the AA’s advances—suffer heavy disarray. Many newly conscripted soldiers, forcibly recruited into the junta’s army, are reportedly unwilling to fight, fleeing the battlefield due to minimal chances of survival. An increasing number of junta soldiers have surrendered under white flags, while others have been captured, both armed and unarmed, during recent engagements.
Between November 8 and 10, a total of 16 junta soldiers—including deserters, white-flag surrenders, and captured personnel—from Infantry Battalions 361 and 363, under the fascist military operation command Sa Ka Kha (10), were seized near ongoing battles around the junta’s Kapasa Military Equipment Manufacturing Facility (16).
On November 8 and 9, a total of 10 troops from Infantry Battalion 368, under the Military Operations Command (10), were involved in battles near Lay Lar Mountain — approximately 2,500 meters to the east of Nyaung Kyoe Village in Pan Taung Township, Bago Region — which has also become another active battleground.
In addition, a total of 10 junta troops—including those who surrendered, deserted, or were captured— from Infantry Battalion 363 under Military Operations Command (10) were taken during clashes near the Kapasa Military Position (16) in Pan Taung Township, Bago Region. On November 9, during ongoing clashes near the Kapasa Military Equipment Manufacturing Facility (16) in Pan Taung Township, Bago Region, 4 junta troops from Infantry Battalion 363 under Military Operations Command (10) were captured.
At approximately 7:35 a.m. on November 8, Second Corporal Myo Min Htun (Pa Sa No. 127536) of the junta’ s Infantry Unit under Nat Yay Kan Military Operations Command—based at the No. 9 Battleground Medicine Infantry, Kho Lan Base Camp—surrendered to the Arakan Army (AA). At present, the infantry battalion of MOC (17) Mong Pan remains the sole unit encircled and under siege at the Nat Yay Kan Military Command Point.
From October 3 to November 7, 2025, during ongoing clashes near Thar Paung Kalay Village in Thay Paung Kalay Township, Irrawaddy Region, as well as Set Set Ro and Chin Lae Villages in Lay Myet Ngar Township, JUNTA troops fled the battlefield. A total of 20 were captured, and more than 20 surrendered.
The troops of the fascist junta who fled or surrendered came from Light Infantry Battalions (LIB) 4, 5, 6, 10, 35, and 66 under Military Operations Command (66), as well as LIB 63 from Eain Mae and LIB 271 from Pathein under the Southwest Command headquartered in Pathein.
Nearly all junta troops who surrendered or were arrested in 2025 had been forcibly conscripted and trained, with some under 18 years old, including high school students.
White-flag surrendering troops have been taken into custody and are receiving proper care in line with international Prisoner of War (POW) regulations.
Newly conscripted junta troops who were forcibly recruited can surrender to the Arakan Army (AA) at any location or battleground by showing white flags, or reach out via available communication channels, as informed by the AA.
