116 Prisoners of War Killed and 32 Injured in Airstrike by Fascist Terrorist Military Junta on POW Detention Camp in Dalat (Da Let) Chaung Area, Ann Township, Arakan; Several Civilian Detainees Also Killed and Wounded

March 12, 2026

On March 8, 2026, from 11:02 a.m. to 2:28 p.m., the fascist terrorist military junta carried out a sustained aerial bombing attack on a prisoner-of-war detention camp located in the Dalat (Da Let) Chaung area of Ann Township, Arakan. The attack lasted for approximately three and a half hours, during which the junta deployed four jet fighters and four Y-12 aircraft, conducting continuous airstrikes without interruption.

As a result of the inhumane aerial attack carried out by the terrorist military junta, 116 prisoners of war were killed and 32 were injured, according to the latest available figures. In addition, many others sustained severe, moderate, and minor injuries. Among the civilian inmates serving sentences, several were also killed or wounded during the incident.

This incident represents the deadliest air attack by the fascist terrorist military junta in the Arakan region in terms of prisoner-of-war casualties, with the victims being POWs from the junta’s own armed forces. A number of senior military officers were also killed instantly in the attack.

Some of the bodies of the prisoners of war are difficult to identify, and in certain cases, no bodily remains have been recovered, leaving some individuals still unaccounted for. Further details will be released once the verification process has been completed.

116 POWs killed in one airstrike? That's horrific. I can't believe the junta would target a detention camp like that. Has anyone found more details on the civilian detainees mentioned? I've been looking into resources for ARSA families affected. https://z-image-turbo.me

148 dead in a POW camp airstrike? That's horrific. The article calls the perpetrators a "fascist terrorist military junta" — and after seeing the casualty numbers, I can't argue with that framing. For anyone wanting to understand the background, I've been reading https://samaudiolab.com
