On 10 March 2020, the Arakan Army was able to completely destroy and defeat the troops of the Light Infantry Battalion No.7 based in Phayagyi, Bago Region, under the command of the 77th Light Infantry Division of Myanmar Army, which came to reinforce the Mee-wa hilltop strategic outpost in Chin state’s Paletwa Township amid heavily shelling of multiple rocket launchers (MRLs) and firing of increased airstrikes.
We captured 20 Burmese soldiers including LIB 7 commander Thet Naing Oo, other officers, corporals and privates, and seized a lots of arms and ammunition. Moreover, 20 Burmese soldiers were also killed and executed in this fighting.
Our Arrakha soldiers and heroes who bravely fought for their fatherland of Arakan and people by scarifying their lives in this battle are proudly honoured and greatly recorded.
We are going to retaliate and crack down on the Burmese troops and battalions who are deliberately attacking and killing civilians of Arakan.
